Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Tend Counsel LLC (“Tend”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) is a solo Fractional General Counsel practice. We collect a limited amount of information through this website, mostly when you choose to contact us. This notice explains what we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It covers this website; information handled during a client engagement is also subject to our professional obligations and engagement terms.

What Tend collects

Tend collects the information you choose to give us. If you contact Tend through this website, you may provide your name, email address, company or organization, and what you choose to include in your message.

We use that information to respond to you, communicate with you, and determine whether Tend may be able to help.

One important lawyerly note: contacting Tend does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. Until we've agreed to work together, please don't send confidential, sensitive, or privileged information through the website.

Information about visits to the website. This website is built and hosted using Webflow. Webflow may process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser or device information, to provide and secure the website. If we enable website analytics, we use them to understand things like how many people visit, which pages they visit, and how they found us.

What Tend does with your information

Tend uses your information solely to:

  • Respond to you and evaluate potential engagements.
  • Communicate with people who contact Tend.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • Understand generally how people use the website.
  • Comply with our legal and professional obligations.

We don't sell your personal information. We don't use it for targeted advertising. We don't build advertising profiles about you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Webflow does not add cookies to customer websites by default. If we enable Webflow Analyze, it uses local storage rather than cookies to help us understand website use, including pages viewed, traffic sources, browser information, country, and device type. We use those reports to understand overall site performance.

We don't currently use tools to track you across other websites for advertising. If we add tools that use cookies or other tracking technologies, we'll update this notice and provide any choices required by applicable law.

You can also control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings.

When Tend shares information

We use trusted service providers to help us operate Tend and provide our services. This may require us to provide them with limited personal information, for example, when we use providers for website hosting, email, document storage, or other business systems. We select and use these services with appropriate privacy and security safeguards, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we entrust to them.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect our rights or the rights of others, investigate security issues or misuse, or when you ask us to or consent to the disclosure. Any disclosure remains subject to our applicable professional obligations.

That's it. We don't sell your information or share it with data brokers or advertisers.

How long Tend keeps information

We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the reason we collected it, including responding to inquiries, maintaining appropriate business records, and meeting our legal and professional obligations.

Because Tend is a law practice, some information may need to be retained even after you ask us to delete it.

Your information and your choices

Privacy laws may give you certain rights regarding your personal information. Whether a particular law applies depends on the circumstances.

Whether or not a particular privacy law requires us to do so, we think people should have reasonable control over personal information they have given us.

If you have contacted Tend through this website and want to know what personal information Tend has about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, please email privacy@tendcounsel.com. We’ll respond to reasonable requests, subject to legal, ethical, confidentiality, privilege, and record-retention obligations that may require or permit us to withhold, retain, or decline to disclose certain information.

Because we don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is currently nothing to opt out of on those fronts.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No website or electronic system is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security.

A few other things

Children. This website isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children through it.

Other websites. We may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, not ours.

Visitors outside the United States. Tend is based in the United States, and information you provide to us may be processed in the United States. If applicable law gives you additional privacy rights, you may contact us to exercise them.

Changes to this notice. If our practices change, we'll update this notice and the date at the top. If the changes require additional notice or consent, we'll provide it.
